Here's a brand new William Lewis & Son 'Devonshire' 3/4 size cello outfit. A really nice cello for the developing player. Includes cello, gig bag, and bow.
As the string maker that helped define the standards by which all others are measured, Kurt Glaesel helped develop the MENC specification for string instrument shop adjustment. Today, these instruments follow the same standard with a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and tradition. Glaesel's European built bodies are completely shop adjusted in Cleveland, Ohio to ensure the highest level of performance!
Solid Carved Spruce Top provides an excellent sound board. Maple Back & Sides enhance greater projection as well as a refined tonal quality. True Ebony Pegs & Fingerboard (not stained hardwood) facilitates reliable function and playability for many years. Full Hand Inlaid Purfling (not painted) protects the solid top and back plates from splitting damage and demonstrates an attention to detail that other brands overlook. Hard Lacquer Finish gives durability for students not yet familiar with the delicate nature of a stringed instrument. Each instrument is set up by hand in the Cleveland Ohio facility to meet or exceed MENC (school requirements) for student instruments to give the player the best possible performance experience and inspiration. D’Addario Prelude Strings, Quality Maple German Teller Bridge, and a Composite Tailpiece with Four Integrated Fine Tuners. Fiberglass Bow and soft case included.
