Sterling Silver Enamel Guilloche Saart Bros S&B Brush, Mirror, Comb Handle Set

Description

This elegant sterling silver grooming set by Saart Bros includes a matching clothing brush, hand mirror, and comb handle, all decorated with an enamel array of pink roses surrounding a white oval on a gleaming yellow background; on the mirror and brush, a shiny golden basket of flowers hangs from a purple ribbon in the center, additional purple and blue flowers adding to the floral bounty.
The hand mirror, measuring approximately 12 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide, is marked sterling S&B below the mirror where the handle attaches; the mirror itself is intact and in great condition, no cracks or chips to the surface. Cracks and some color loss have occurred at the top of the enamel panel, as well as one older solder surface crack repair approximately 1/4 inch at the bottom of the handle, not structural. Small dents and wear appropriate to age are present.
The clothing brush, measuring approximately 10 inches tall and 2 7/8 inches wide, is marked sterling S&B where the handle attaches. The bristles are in good shape and all firmly attached; the pad attaching the bristles has separated at the top of the brush but is stable. The brush rattles when shaken, as the pieces holding the pad in place have likely shifted. The enamel on the brush is beautiful, with only slight wear at the edges. Part of the pattern on the handle has dents or wear, and other small dents and wear appropriate to age are present.
The comb handle is approximately 7 1/2 inches long, with a small sterling mark on the right on the non-enamel side. Though the comb itself is missing, the handle is in lovely shape, with bright enamel work and sterling detailing. Numerous small dents have occurred along the spine of the comb handle.
This set is vintage and shows signs of wear appropriate to the age and use of the items, including dents, wear to the pattern, and some enamel loss as described. Every effort has been made to closely photograph these defects, however, we cannot show everything. Please see provided photos closely and feel free to ask questions - we will be happy to assist.

USPS rates and do not include a handling charge. Sometimes, depending on your location, Priority Mail is feasible at the amount paid, in which case your item will be shipped that way. If you feel the shipping charge is too high, contact me prior to bidding, and I may be able to make an adjustment.
If you would like your item shipped by another method (UPS, FedEx, etc), contact me and I will try to accommodate your request. We are happy to combine items to reduce shipping when it doesn't compromise the safety of the items being shipped.

Handling:
Each item is carefully packaged to ensure safe arrival at its destination. With the cost of boxes, bubble wrap, peanuts, tape, etc., I often spend more on shipping/handling than the buyer is charged.  I usually ship within two business days of the close of auction.  I will notify you if it will run later than that for any reason.
