who owns a private family business in
his hometown and has 30 years of experience in making violins, violas,
cellos and double basses and is now followed by his daughters.
The cello is handmade from
Romanian
wood
(maple and spruce), it is made to standards but any instrument we
make can be made to measures and preferences.
The
Carpathian
wood
used for making this cello is over 15 years old and it is a very special
flamed maple dense and rich in flames as it can be seen with a spruce top,
high quality dry wood with straight fiber used for the greatest sound.
The year of construction
is
2013 and the instrument comes with a Certificate of
Authenticity signed by the violinmaker.
It is set up with high
quality accessories: Thomastik Infeld strings, Bender cone and carbon
endpin (changed since the photo was taken), Ebony details, Ebony pegs, Akustikus finetune tailpiece,
Dumitru Pop bridge and soundpost adjusted for the best sound.
It is played for a few years
by one of the daughters (who is a cellist) and several professional
musicians from the Romanian Orchestras. We use this practice in order to
develop a better sound on ur instruments. The sound of the cello is
amazingly developed in over 7 years, would be perfect for solo or
orchestra cellist.
The cello has a brilliant
sound, a bright and open sound on the high strings and a strong and clear
sound on the low strings, overall balanced.
