This cello is a modern reproduction of a cello made by master craftsman Matteo Goffriller (c. 1700). Carved and assembled in Romania by luthier Martin Beck and hand-varnished by the House of Weaver in Maryland. Fiberglass hard case (with wheels) + two bows (one wood, one carbon fiber) included with purchase.

I played this cello for many years before transitioning to a professional instrument. It is a comfortable and forgiving instrument to play, at the same time possessing a great deal of volume and a dark, rich sound. While it would make an excellent fit for the intermediate or advanced student, its ease of play makes it appropriate for student cellists at any level.
