    Description

Old French Mirecourt cello 4/4 (48 inches).  The instrument appears to have been well maintained, is structurally sound, and is in good playable condition. Interior label reads, "Copie De Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonenfis Feacebit Anno 1721." Under the adjacent f-hole a small label reads "France. Instrument dates to sometime b/w 1901 and 1920. Both JTL and Marc Laberte used labels like the one in this cello (see comparable labels from other listings, other sites).
Wear is present including various nicks, scratches, scuffs, cracks, varnish wear. Scuffs from the bridge rubbing are minimal compared to other instruments this age.
The instrument has two cracks that has been professionally repaired with cleats inside. One cleat appears to have the luthier's mark on it.
    This item includes the following:
    1. Unbranded bow (28 inches, 81 grams)
    2. Despiau France bridge with luthier stamp that reads, "S.C. Fang"
    3. Nice SKB hard case with rollers, bow bags, and accessory bags
    4. Thomastik Dominant strings (on cello)
