    Description

Here we have an estate 14 piece silver vanity dresser set with 9 sterling silver pieces by Dominick & Haff for Shreve, Crump and Low Co as well as Bigelow Kennard & Co in Boston.
The items are identified to the best of my ability, however the photos serve as the listing/condition of the items so look closely and I will gladly provide more photos and closeups upon request since ebay only allows 12 pictures per listing.
1- The mirror has the oblong, circle, diamond hallmark with the number 54 and says sterling on one side and pat 89 on the mirror side. There is some discoloration on one side of the handle.
2- The nail buffer case and buffer itself are 2 pieces and I leave it to the discretion of the buyer to glue it or replace it. It has the oblong, circle, diamond hallmark and it says sterling on one end and patent on the other.
3- The smaller brush says sterling on one end and patent on the other. Note in pics where some hairs have been cut off in one small section. One end has either tarnish or plate loss.
4- The larger brush says sterling and Bigelow Kennard & Co on one end and patent on the other end.
5- The hairbrush says Patent June 29, 75 and has a small mark next to the 75...if it is 75. Can't make out the number.
6- The powder jar has a 925 in the oblong, then a circle, then the diamond with the numbers 1892. It also says sterling and patd 89. There is also an 86 or a 98 number. There is some discoloration, pitting ? or tarnish. I dont know what a good cleaning will do.
7- The pill jar says sterling patent and it has the oblong, circle, diamond hallmark and the number 2 on the bottom. There are tarnish marks on the inside and wear on the bottom.
8- The button hook piece says sterling, patent and the number 92?
9-The comb case is more tarnished on the ends and might be missing pkate, and says sterling and there is the number 11 on its side. It has monagram HFW, however it is the same pattern.
Pieces 1-9 all have the same pattern which appears to be Dominick Haff 1890's.
10- The knife blade says Reed and Barton sterling handle.
11- The scissors blade says Germany and the handle says sterling, 811 and the logo is for Simon Brothers.
    12- The lipstick brush
    13- The blush brush
14- The eyebrow comb/brush all have the same pattern but no identifying hallmark to designate sterling or silverplate. The blush and lipstick brushes have tiny tarnish or corrosive spots.
Look closely at photos and buy as is, knowing that all these items are in substantially good condition with expected wear appropriate to their age-scratches, dings, tarnish, pitting or tiny corrosive spots, discoloration, plate loss, old polish residue etc. I have no knowledge of silver and leave to the discretion and expertise of the buyer as to what a good polish or professional's touch will remedy.  Items not returnable, no exceptions. (Limited trips to PO during this pandemic) US buyers only.
