Made in America by Mark Edwards.
This is a fully carved instrument with many unique characteristics.  The full piece back differs from most 2 piece backs by reducing the amount of glue used which allows the wood to have better resonance.  The scroll has a subtle carved detail in the back, yet still different than the average cello.  The one piece back, sides, and neck are made of exquisitely flamed maple while the 2 piece top is made of moderately grained spruce.  The bridge is of the Belgian style for greater sound projection.  A boxwood tailpiece with ebony detailing is included to match the boxwood pegs which also have ebony detail work.  The cello currently has a standard tailpiece attached to give a varied tone.  These are easy to switch at home to your preference.  A wolf eliminator is also installed.  For best results, please keep this tuned to F#.  The endpin is dense and reacts well to regular filing when the point grows dull.
I am selling this instrument because I currently own 2 and have decided that I only really need my other cello which better suits my personality.
I have used and cared for this instrument since 1997.
