ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU Wm. B. KERR STERLING SILVER CLOTHES BRUSH MAIDEN AMERICAN BEAUTY
PATTERN
This brush is in great antique condition.
The top is “minty.” There are no dings or dents and no push-ins, flattening or rubbing to the vulnerable high spots as almost always happens. The maiden’s nose and chin are sharp and well defined.
The long sides have a few inconsequential dimples, nothing to even mention, but there is a small amount of denting to each of the smaller sides. The images capture everything. I consider the overall condition to be very fine.
No monogram.
Wonderful warm patina just as all collectors crave.
Bristles are soft and all present.
Celluloid is near 100% intact with only the teensiest sliver missing from one side, see image 12.
Full Kerr markings with fasces (hatchet) logo and the number 1447 denoting the American Beauty pattern.
