    A very fine French cello bow by J.J. Martin,ca. 1880.
    A fine French cello bow made by Jean Joseph Martin ca. 1880, branded on the stick above the frog, certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris. J.J. Martin was one of the important French bow makers, also a maker of fine bows for J.B. Vuillaume. J.J. Martin bows are very well made and known in the professional world as a great value for their excellent playing capabilities.
    The stick is a fine dark reddish brown pernambuco, round, strong, with a powerful 1st class sound, excellent balance and easy handling. The length of the stick is 70 cm and the weight is of the bow is 80 g.
    It is in fine condition, ready to play.
