I am the second owner of the guitar. The original owner bought the guitar new at McCabe’s in Santa Monica Ca in the Mid 90's. Serial Number says it was made in 1994. He installed Fishman’s piezo crystal passive under saddle pickup which sounds great. He was a jazz player and played mostly with the pickup.
The guitar has a delicate sound, very vocal, Intimate sort of sound. “I chose it over all the guitars under 5k that they had in stock. Huge stock. Something about just had the sound I was looking for at the time. The back and sides are also very beautiful, much better than others I have seen. I also liked the look of the top. It is a little more figure in the spruce than the average."
The guitar is in excellent condition, verified by only approved Martin repairman in New Mexico. There is some finish checking and minor dings. The original factory case is molded and has a couple scuffs and one loose clasp.

This is a truly wonderful example of a 28-year-old Martin. Studio guitarists have long used Martin 000 guitars to add depth and dimension to a track, and the 000-28 delivers a remarkably rich, lively tone that sits beautifully in a mix. The Martin 000-28 is handcrafted true to Martin tradition, featuring a solid Sitka spruce top, with sides and back of stunning East Indian rosewood. Martin's sleek, modified low oval neck with high-performance taper offers silky playability up and down the ebony fretboard."
